At Ouachita Nursing and Rehab Center, care goes beyond clinical support—it’s about comfort, connection, and joy. One very special member of our community brings all of those things together every day, and his name is Ace. With a wagging tail and a friendly presence, Ace has become Ouachita’s best friend and a source of happiness for residents and staff alike.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here at Ouachita Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, we proudly stood together in a sea of pink to honor the strength, courage, and resilience of those who have battled breast cancer. This month, we designated a special day as Pink Out Day, a time to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise awareness in our community.

At Ouachita Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, we are proud to care for some of the bravest individuals in our community, our Veterans. On September 11th, several of our honored residents had the opportunity to attend the Annual Ouachita County Veterans Appreciation Dinner at Cullendale Baptist Church, and it was a truly special evening.

Ouachita Nursing and Rehab recently had the honor and privilege to house and accommodate Ms. Mattie Upton, a 105 and a half, as she would say, very sweet lady. When we called to check on her, we asked if she could answer a couple of questions.
